DIY Nano Coating for Bathrooms & Kitchen Sinks | Pomponazzi Living Coat Review

Pomponazzi Living Coat nano coating product review

Water spots are one of those problems that keep coming back, especially in bathrooms and kitchens. Even after a thorough cleaning, faucets, sinks, countertops, and shower glass can quickly develop white mineral marks and lose their clean shine.

I tried Pomponazzi Living Coat on several of these surfaces around my home, and the difference was easy to see.

The result?

After coating, water formed into rounded beads and rolled off much more easily. The bathroom faucet looked cleaner and shinier, the kitchen sink and countertop felt smoother, and water behaved noticeably differently on the coated shower glass.

What I especially liked was that Living Coat is clear and odorless. Unlike some strong cleaners and coating products I had used before, there was no harsh chemical smell while I worked.

Here is how I applied it to my bathroom faucet, kitchen countertop, stainless-steel sink, and shower glass—and what the surfaces looked like afterward.

What Is Pomponazzi Living Coat?

Pomponazzi Living Coat is an all-in-one DIY nano coating designed for use on a variety of surfaces around the home, including bathrooms, kitchens, and furniture.

It is a clear and odorless inorganic coating that can be applied to surfaces such as bathroom faucets, mirrors, sinks, wooden tables, and leather accessories.

After application, it forms a thin coating layer over the surface. In my experience, this helped water and everyday grime stick less easily and made routine cleaning feel easier.

The water-repellent effect was especially noticeable. When water was sprayed onto the coated surface, droplets formed into round beads and rolled away instead of spreading flat across the surface.

What Comes in the Kit?

The Pomponazzi Living Coat set I used included:

  • 4 suede cloths
  • 1 square applicator
  • 1 instruction sheet
  • 1 bottle of Living Coat (100 mL)
  • 2 Living Towels (40 × 40 cm)
  • Multipurpose Cleaning Cream

Almost everything needed for the coating process was already included in the package. I especially liked having the multipurpose cleaning cream available for preparing the surfaces before coating.

How to Apply Pomponazzi Living Coat

The application process was easier than I expected.

  1. Clean the surface. Use the included multipurpose cleaning cream to remove built-up grime, water spots, and oily residue.
  2. Rinse and dry completely. Wipe away the cleaning cream with clean water and allow the surface to dry fully.
  3. Apply Living Coat. Place a suede cloth over the square applicator, add about 6–8 drops of Living Coat, and spread it evenly across the surface.
  4. Allow the coating to set. Wait about 30 minutes, then lightly buff the surface with a Living Towel until no product residue remains.

For a stronger water-repellent effect, it is recommended to keep the coated surface away from water for about half a day after application.

Preparing bathroom faucet before applying nano coating

Coating the Bathroom Faucet

I started with the bathroom sink faucet. On the dry faucet, I applied a small amount of the multipurpose cleaning cream.

Even with only a little product, the white water-scale buildup came off much more easily than I expected. Some of these marks had been difficult to remove even with heavy scrubbing.

After carefully cleaning the entire faucet, I wiped it again with clean water. Removing the residue and oily film made the surface look noticeably cleaner.

Before applying Living Coat, I waited until the faucet was completely dry. Proper surface preparation may take a little extra time, but it helps create a better foundation for the coating.

Applying It to the Kitchen Countertop

While the faucet was drying, I moved on to the kitchen countertop. Countertops easily collect water marks and greasy residue, so this was another surface I had wanted to protect.

Once the surface was cleaned and prepared, I placed a suede cloth over the square applicator and added Living Coat.

I spread the coating evenly over the countertop, sink, and bathroom faucet. After waiting about 30 minutes for the coating layer to form, I buffed each surface with the Living Towel to remove any remaining residue.

The process itself was straightforward, and the lack of a strong chemical odor made the application much more comfortable.

The First Result: Water Beading on the Countertop

After the countertop was finished, I placed water directly onto the coated surface.

The droplets immediately looked different. Instead of spreading flat, they held a more rounded shape, and the countertop also felt slightly smoother and more slippery to the touch.

Before and After: Bathroom Faucet

Looking at the faucet before coating, I realized there were more water spots than I had noticed. Even with regular cleaning, white marks had gradually built up over time.

After cleaning and coating, the surface looked brighter and developed a subtle shine that made the faucet feel refreshed.

When I sprayed water onto the finished faucet, it rolled downward instead of remaining spread across the metal surface. The water-repellent effect was clearly visible.

The way droplets formed on the sink faucet was also noticeably different after coating, and the surface felt smoother when wiped.

After another spray test, much less water remained sitting on the faucet.

The cleaner and shinier faucet also made the whole bathroom look more polished.

Coating the Kitchen Sink

Next was the stainless-steel kitchen sink. Even with regular care, it had started to look dull and developed water marks quickly.

After coating, water formed into rounded beads and rolled across the surface more easily. Since the sink is one of the wettest areas in the kitchen, this was one of the places where the water-repellent effect felt especially useful.

Using Living Coat on Shower Glass

I also tried Living Coat on the shower enclosure. This area had stubborn water spots, and once mineral buildup develops on glass, it can be difficult to keep the surface looking clear.

After cleaning the glass with the multipurpose cleaning cream and applying Living Coat, the glass looked noticeably clearer.

Bathroom glass gets splashed constantly with water and even toothpaste, so marks build up quickly. After coating, water formed into rounded droplets on the glass instead of spreading across the entire surface.

How I Maintain the Coating

For maintenance, I plan to use about 3–4 drops of Living Coat and lightly buff the surface about once a week. According to the original instructions, this helps refresh the coating layer and maintain its performance.

Final Thoughts

Bathrooms and kitchens are exposed to water every day, so water spots and stains can return quickly even after careful cleaning.

After trying Pomponazzi Living Coat, the most noticeable difference was the way water behaved on the coated surfaces. Droplets formed into beads, rolled away more easily, and the faucets, countertop, sink, and glass all looked cleaner and more polished.

I also appreciated that the product was clear, odorless, and easy to apply without professional equipment.

If you are looking for a DIY coating for bathroom faucets, stainless-steel sinks, kitchen countertops, or shower glass, Pomponazzi Living Coat is worth considering.

Quick Takeaway

Clean the surface thoroughly, let it dry completely, apply a thin and even layer of Living Coat, and buff after about 30 minutes. Once coated, the most visible change is the stronger water-beading effect and smoother, cleaner-looking surface.
