Real Review of Using a Self-Coating Product ✨
Pomponazzi Living Coat

It has already been 4 years since we remodeled our newlywed home.

The kitchen countertop, which used to feel smooth and glossy, gradually lost its coating over time.
Coffee, kimchi soup, and various soups started leaving marks almost instantly.

Sink bowls, faucets, and vanity tops all had the same issue—
the moment water touched them, they would show cloudy marks,
and even after cleaning, dried water spots remained everywhere.

The charm of a white-toned kitchen is its clean look,
but when that cleanliness isn’t maintained, the stress becomes real.

I looked into hiring a nano-coating service,
but the price was much higher than I expected…
Recently, I heard that many people do self-coating at home,
so I decided to try it myself.

1. Pre-Cleaning

Before starting, you must thoroughly clean the countertop, sink bowl, and faucet.
Removing residue like food splashes, oil, and water stains is essential.

The Pomponazzi Living Coat kit includes a detergent for removing oil and water stains,
so it was easy to clean everything properly.

This step must be done well for the coating layer to form evenly.

2. Applying the Coating

The surface needs to be completely dry with no moisture at all.
Using the included sponge block,
I wrapped the suede cloth around it, added 2–3 drops of the coating solution,
and applied it gently and widely across the surface.

Just a few drops are enough to cover an area the size of an A4 sheet—
the amount needed is surprisingly small. I think one bottle could last at least 3 years.

3. Natural Drying

After applying the coating,
I left the countertop untouched for 30 minutes to dry naturally.
No water must touch the surface during this stage for the coating to develop properly.

4. Buffing

Using the microfiber towel included in the kit,
I gently buffed the surface.
As I wiped, the surface became smooth and neatly finished
with a subtle sheen.

When I checked the artificial marble countertop afterward, it looked like a protective layer had formed.

Even the induction cooktop looked noticeably glossier— almost like how it looked when it was brand new 4 years ago.
It felt like regaining that fresh, clean kitchen feeling.

Before getting married, I never realized how easily water stains could form…
But now, seeing how well the coated surface repels water—
the droplets don’t smear and simply roll off—
I’m impressed with the results!

It’s colorless and odorless, so there was no smell at all,
and I loved that the curing time was short.

With regular nano-coating services, you can't use water for 24 hours,
but this one absorbs quickly and only needs 30 minutes.
